Meet Lisa, Sewn4U’s owner

I knew about sewing from my Mom since she made clothes for me and my siblings when we were young. Then I learned how to do it myself in high school home economics class. Talk about creative freedom! I could make clothes, curtains, pillows, costumes, toys — ANYTHING!
Over the years, I did more “functional” than “fun” sewing. I didn’t have time to be innovative, just useful.
— I sewed patches and rank insignia onto my military uniforms.
— I made Halloween costumes for me and my children.
— I made or altered curtains at every new military location.
— And pants always needed to be hemmed.
When I could, I shifted my focus to be more creative and artistic. Simply put, I love making fun things with my sewing. In addition to usefulness, I look for ways to liven up my designs with color, stitching, or patterns.
Thanks for visiting!
P.S. I make every item you’ll find on my site. Each is unique.
